1. Our November Hodgepodges always include a question related to gratitude. What is one small thing you're grateful for today?
My library. We had our book group meeting there today.
2. Chrysanthemums-pansies-burning bush-ornamental cabbage-camellias...your favourite in an autumn garden? Would we find any of these in your yard/garden this year?
Chrysanthemums would be my favourite but there's nothing blooming in my garden right now.
3. If you could clear out or organize one physical space or mental habit before the year ends, what would it be?
I need to sort out some space in my spare bedrooms for when we host family at Christmas so it will need to be done by mid December. The beds and rooms are ok but I need to free up some cupboard/drawer space for guests.
4. Brussel sprouts...love 'em or no thank you? If you said love 'em how do you like them prepared?
I don't love them but I do eat them. Roasted would be my preference.
5. It's reassuring to know that my Christmas guests are just my kids and grandkids so nothing has to be perfect.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
It's turning out to be a busy week!
I love Brussels Sprouts, but seem to definitely be in the minority! LOL Find some time to rest during your busy week, Wendy! xo
ReplyDeleteI've been sitting all afternoon today (Thursday) after another busy Foodbank session lol.
DeleteOh gosh. I'm not ready for thoughts of Christmas yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm not either really but I don't want to find myself stressing out nearer the time so trying to get ahead.
DeleteHi Wendy, that is nice that your have room for your family at the holidays. Mine all live within driving distance. Two of my grands live here while they go to school. Once my granddaughter goes away to college, I plan to redo the room and make it a guestroom/sewing room. Have a great rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteI have my sewing machine in a room in the garden but it doesn't get used much.
DeleteHow wonderful to have the book group meeting at your library.
ReplyDeleteThat is great your kids and grandkids are visiting for Christmas.
It's going to be very hectic lol
DeleteIt will be nice to have a houseful for Christmas, and you're right...our kids and grandkids don't need perfect. I'm a fan of the library too. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joyce.
DeleteI'm grateful for my church community.
ReplyDeleteI'm in a rented space and I have some potted plants but no flowers right now.
I'd clean up and organize my email!
I like Brussels sprouts if they are roasted with bacon and something sweet is drizzled on them.
I miss my cat and. A not wait to have another one!
I liked these answers
ReplyDeleteChrysanthemums are used here only for the graveyards on 2nd of November (I guess) I had put them in our garden because they look so pretty. It's getting on my nerves that Christmas songs are already played and people plan for Christmas ! I don't know how my Christmas will be for me it's far away !
