This book introduces the character Amos Decker a former detective who has fallen on hard times following the brutal murders of his wife and child. An accident as a college football player has left him with the condition hyperthymesia - the ability to recall all the events of his life.
Following a man coming forward, confessing to the murders of Decker's family and then a mass killing at the local college, the book takes Decker on a journey to discover not only how these two events are linked but ultimately to who killed his family.
Another page turner from Baldacci and I shall be checking out to see which other books of his feature Decker.

ReplyDeleteI've read a few if his now. Some are stand alone some feature the same characters. Usually good thrillers and American based.
DeleteI gave up on David a while ago (can't remember the book now) but I remember he seemed to have some sort female leg fetish going on. Sounds like he has returned to form.
ReplyDeleteJust looked up my book review it was Simple Genius: there was one woman who was a martial arts expert with glorious legs, another who was crippled in a wheelchair and another with an artificial leg. Huh?:)
