Book Review - While my eyes were closed - Linda Green

While My Eyes Were ClosedWhile My Eyes Were Closed by Linda Green

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lisa Dale is playing hide and seek with her 4 year old daughter Ella in the park when Ella disappears.

There is no mystery as to what happened to Ella - we are told how she is taken by Muriel, a piano teacher, who is convinced that Lisa is an unfit mother.

The book continues with the ensuing events and told from the points of view of both Lisa and Muriel. We learn about Muriel's son Matthew and how events in his life led to Muriel taking Lisa. We also learn how the families were connected through Matthew and Lisa's elder daughter Chloe.

Despite their being no mystery as to how Ella was taken I wanted to keep reading the book to see how the situation was resolved. There were no dramatic surprises but it was an absorbing read.
