Friday's Fave Five - 7/10/16
It's Friday so it's time to join in with Suzanne's Friday's Fave Five.
It's a place to come on Fridays and think back over your week and just post about 5 favourite things from your week. It can be anything that tickled your fancy over the week. Favourite quotes, posts, happenings, scriptures, recipes, pictures, great internet finds, etc., etc.
If you want to take part or visit other Fave Five posts, click on the picture above to go to host Suzanne's site and check out the linky list.
Sometimes it's hard to find five things to write about but it's good to actually reflect on the week and find the good in it.
Here are my five:
1. Insurance. We have always had insurance for various things but haven't had much cause to use them, which is probably a good thing, but recently we've been glad of our car insurance, and this week we relied on our house insurance when hubby accidentally broke a window.
2. Guarantees. The washing machine broke down last week but it was still under warranty so it's been repaired and has been working overtime ever since. (It was out of action for a week.)
3. Crafting. I've made quite a bit of progress this week on a craft project that I need to have finished for Christmas. I'm trying not to get panicked by the increasing amount of Christmas mentions that are appearing.
4. Finding time to relax in front of the TV, catching up on programmes I've recorded.
5. The NHS. Hubby had a few concerns and his GP referred him for tests. He had a hospital appointment within 2 weeks and tests done this week. Thankfully all seems fine.
Have a good weekend.
A very worthy five things to be thankful for!
ReplyDeletegood list of blessings! so glad your, husband is fine!! and I too trying to get a special project done for a xmas gift. it involved 23 yrs worth of photos. yikes!
ReplyDeleteglad your washer is up and running again and that your home owners insurance kicked in for the window.
happy weekend!!
I am always happy when I can use the insurance, with all we have paid over the years ! I forgot my laundry today, reading about your washing machine reminded me, lol ! Don't talk about Christmas, yet, I panic already only at the thought !
ReplyDeleteLots of good things to celebrate this week, a healthy husband and a healthy washing machine.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the craft project!
A good list. I should do this sometime. I love lists!!
ReplyDeleteGreat list of things to be thankful. That's a really short turnaround for the NHS appointments. Glad all is fine with your hubby.
ReplyDeleteMany good outcomes this week. I don't want to think about the fast approaching Christmas season, much too early.
ReplyDeletePerfect things to be thankful for...especially good health.
ReplyDeleteGood news for your hubby on both quick responses and good reports.
ReplyDeleteDon't mention Christmas--I'm just not ready and neither are any of my ideas--I'm glad you are already working on yours!
It would be hard to be without a washer for a week! Glad it was still under warranty. I hate to pay insurance premiums but we can't really do without it these days. Your crafting reminds me that my d-i-l wanted me to make some small felt ornaments for my grandson. I've collected ideas but need to get cracking. Relaxing at night with hubby watching tv is one of my favorite parts of the day. Glad all is well with your hubby's health - such a relief to get things checked out and find that all is well.
