holiday decorating. On a scale of 1-10 where do you fall? (1=Scrooge and 10=
Clark Griswold). What's your favourite corner-room-table-space to decorate?
Is it done?
I’m probably
about a 6. I like to have a tree and a
few other bits and pieces but I certainly don’t go overboard. My tree is up but we’re not quite finished
yet.

I do have a
nativity scene. I bought this one last
year as our old one was getting a bit tatty but there was no sentimentality
attached to it.
3. Do you live in a social neighbourhood? If so are you glad? If not do you wish you did?
There are things going on but our extended family is so large that we can make our own entertainment.
4. As the saying goes, 'there's no time like the present'. How does that ring true in your life right now?
It’s a message I keep trying to embrace as I’m finding myself procrastinating far too much over Christmas and jobs that need doing. See also #8. I’m feeling “there’s not enough time” at the moment.
5. Do you dread Mondays? Why or why not?
No because I’m
no longer working.

Christmas cactus, Amaryllis-which on the list is your favourite holiday plant?
Are any of these on display in your home right now?
I don’t have any on display at the moment but I will probably get a Poinsettia ready for Christmas.

I am useless at remembering quotes from movies.

My daughter is moving next Saturday and that is
stressing me out a bit – I’m not sure they are going to be ready to go! Hopefully everything will get moved out of
their current flat. But I think it’s
going to be a close run thing.

ReplyDeleteA lovely Nativity! The stable I have is nice because my dad made it, but I really need new figures for it. I like how you have the star candle holders in front of it. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I have helped my kids move....I go over to help load and packing still needs to be done. Hopefully they are in one place for a time...I am actually too old to do much more than packing.

Moving is always hectic. It seemed like every time we moved, Suzanne was pregnant. Moving around Christmas would be hectic, too. Have a great week and a Merry Christmas.

ReplyDeleteI agree; your Nativity is very pretty as are the stars. I understand completely the "not enough time" sentiment.
Did you see the article the other day about the earth slowing its spin and that this would mean 25 hours in a day instead of 24? I didn't read beyond the summary, so I don't know the whole deal. But, I think even 25 hours in a day isn't going to make for enough time to do all we need to do!
