Review: The Secret

The Secret The Secret by Katerina Diamond
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another crime thriller featuring DS Grey with a dark subject matter of sex trafficking and drug dealing.

A gruesome crime scene leads to the discovery that undercover cop Bridget Reid is missing. In attempting to find her and solve the murders, Grey and her partner Miles are drawn into a dark world that also links back to Grey's past.

The popular use of different points of view and timeframes is a bit confusing at times but the plot is good and does tie up some loose ends left in the author's previous book (The Teacher). It also leaves the door open for another book which I'm sure will be out before too long.

  1. I love books that come in a series so you don't lose the characters that you come to love! Thanks for the review!

  2. Looks interesting... i like stories which use different view and timeframes (if they are written well).
