My theme for the 2017 challenge is waffling on about random
words!
That might not seem like a theme but if you read on you’ll
discover it’s not quite as random as it sounds.
The words were generated using a word generator (https://randomwordgenerator.com/)
and I opted for 4 words each day. I
might focus on one or try and incorporate them all into the post.
Choosing the words this way has given me a challenge and a
common thread to my posts but it has also allowed me to be myself and just
waffle! It’s what I’m good at. (Don’t worry, I’m aiming for around 500 words
per post so hopefully you won’t get stuck here for too long 😉)
And the words for today are….
Refund
Regulation
Reporter
Revival
Hopefully we will be able to claim a refund through our insurance for the cruise that we missed due to our Grandson's early appearance. No doubt we will have to jump through a few hoops to prove we meet the criteria.
Regulations can be a pain at times but they usually serve a purpose. We are now almost used to the hygiene regulations in the NICU unit where our grandson is. On entering the unit we are required to leave our coats in the reception area and then thoroughly wash our hands and forearms followed by sanitiser before crossing the red line across the corridor leading to the nurseries. On entering the nursery the whole washing process has to be repeated. Yes it sounds over the top but the babies in the unit are either a) very young and small b) very sick or c) both so I don't mind having very clean, but quite dry hands if it keeps my grandson germ free and well.
I think it must be a great time to be a political reporter at the moment. There is so much going on not only here in the UK but abroad too. My sister-in-law is over from France at the weekend and will be aiming to watch the marathon before getting back to France to cast her vote.
My son and niece are both running in the London Marathon on Sunday. Hopefully neither of them will need revival at the end. It will be the third time my son has taken part but it is our niece's first. Regular readers of my blog may remember me writing about her baby Poppy who was very ill before being diagnosed with a genetic condition so Natalie is running to raise money for the hospital that treated Poppy, the Evelina Children's Hospital.
Michael is running to raise money for MIND another charity close to our hearts.
I think anyone who can complete the marathon is fantastic.
Are you a long distance runner or does the thought of it bring you out in a cold sweat?
I used to be a long distance runner, but my knees weren't happy, so now I am a long distance swimmer. I am so enjoying your random words.
ReplyDeleteI am not a long distance runner OR a short distance runner! LOL Good luck to your son and niece in their marathon!!
