Last night, 8-year-old Daisy Mason disappeared from her parents' summer party. No one in the quiet suburban street saw anything - or at least that's what they're saying.

DI Adam Fawley is trying to keep an open mind. But he knows that nine times out of ten, it's someone the victim knew.

That means someone is lying.

And that Daisy's time is running out...

Daisy Mason is missing. She disappeared during a party at her home. Just vanished.

Enter DI Adam Fawley and his team desperately trying to find her but knowing that as every minute passes the likelihood of Daisy being found alive gets less. He also tries to keep an open mind but 9 times out of ten in cases like this it’s someone the victim knew.

The story unfolds through the police investigation plus flashbacks (in reverse order) of events leading up to the party. There are also Twitter feeds and newspaper reports interwoven into the story.

There are lots of twists, especially around the timeline of when Daisy actually went missing and when she was last seen.

Definitely a thriller although I wonder that an eight year old could be mature enough to take on board all she hears and digest it let alone then manipulate it the way she does. I also felt the final twist was satisfying but not totally credible.
