We ventured out on the woodland path and down to the lake yesterday. It was a gorgeous sunny day and not too cold. The paths are still quite muddy - wellies required - but not as bad as they were.
We were rewarded by the sight of these unusual looking birds. A google search revealed they are mandarin ducks. The colourful one is the male and that's a female in the last picture.

ReplyDeleteI love bird watching! They are so interesting. We’ve had a pair of ducks return every spring for the last few years to our pool and act like it’s their private pond.
