Thanks to our lovely host Susanne (check her out here) for keeping us on track each week. It's good to look back on the good things from the week.
1) Lockdown restrictions have started to ease. The big changes are that non essential shops have reopened and pubs, restaurants etc can now open their outdoor areas to groups of 6 or 2 households. I think this week has been a bit manic though and we won't be rushing out to eat just yet.
2) I got a haircut! It was such a relief after 4 months! It had got to the stage where it was hard to make it look good. Now it's nice and short again.
3) Time with grandchildren - we had Nathan with us for the day on Sunday, and then all his family here on Tuesday. On Wednesday we had Rory, Vinny and Mummy here.
4) Hubby has had his second jab. There was a council news item saying that jabs were available at one of the libraries this week for certain groups plus anyone who'd had a first jab more than 8 weeks ago. It was a relief as we were worried he might fall through the net and not get an invite to go as we've changed GPs since his first jab. I had my first one through our new GP so hopefully will get an invite for my second fairly soon.
5) A catch up with my best friend, 2 of her daughters and her first Grandson. Naturally she is besotted with him. I know it's been hard for her watching me gain more grandchildren and she was still waiting. Now she has one of her own and he's adorable. All 6 week old babies are adorable. It was just so nice to be able to catch up in person though and not over the phone. She'd made nice cake too!
So a good week for us as we also made some progress on house matters. It's Hubby's birthday on Sunday so we've got visits from the grandkids to look forward to.
Have a good weekend all.
Sounds like some fun things for the week! Happy birthday to your hubs!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair. So glad you are getting your Covid jabs! Hubby and I have both had both, and now our youngest son will be getting his second next Tuesday. I am glad that lockdowns are easing for you, and that you get to spend lots of time with your grandchildren. Have a wonderful weekend. See you again soon. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Happy birthday to hubby!! Celebrate well!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet list of blessings! Short hair looks great with your facial structure!! Also shorter hair on women over 40 tend to make us look younger! (according to a sylist friend who studied in NYC).
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your husband and yay for your friend becoming a grandmother. I hope to be one some day!!
Glad things are looking up for you all over there!
Happy Birthday to your hubby! I'm glad he was able to get his second shot.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for things opening up a bit over there. What a relief.
Your hairstyle looks good!
The haircut looks lovely. So nice that you are able to see your family in the midst of this. Our restaurants can only have outside dining right now too but we're still doing the takeout thing. Happy birthday to your hubby!
