Each week, even when she has a lot going on, Susanne reminds us to stop and think about the things we're grateful for. Like minded bloggers join together here.
1) A nice time with Granddaughter Ella on Tuesday. I brought her back to my house and we played games and of course out came the Playdoh.
3) A catch up via a video call with my cousins yesterday. It was a while since we'd spoken all together so lots to talk about.
4) Thankful for online shopping, especially for food. Most of my Christmas shopping is now organised but I'll still be going to the store over the weekend. Some things you just need to choose in person.
5) Grateful that we're in a position to do all this shopping etc. without having to worry about finances.
And of course thankful to Susanne for organising this link up every week and for the other bloggers who join in. Wishing you all a good weekend, hoping it is not too hectic and, if I don't manage another post before it, a very peaceful and happy Christmas.
How wonderful that your food bank is helping those for Christmas. I think that food banks are such a blessing. Our church also runs one.
ReplyDeleteYour Ella looks so sweet, Ah, Playdoh! I remember those days (and the mess it made). But it was all worth in.
Online shopping is such a blessing with the crowds the way they are. I went to our local mall recently to see their Christmas decorations but that was all. It was pretty crowded.
Have a blessed Happy Christmas.
The food banks around here are all busy this time of year as well. Bless you and all who work so hard to help others have the basics they need. Ella is adorable!! I love shopping on line!! I'm such a slug!! LOL Wendy, I wish you and your lovely family a very Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteour food banks and rescue missions are very busy here in the Capital Region of New YOrk too this time of year. And I am still visiting clients this week who are shut in. It's a hard time for some and they get very lonely.
ReplyDeleteI love shopping online for certain things but i prefer to do food shopping in person. I need to see/touch/smell my fruits and vegggies hahah
Merry CHIRSTmas to you and your family. I hope it's a special time.
Thank heaven for the food banks and all the volunteers that staff them. Playdoh- don't you just hate it when they mix the colours together and you end up with tubs of grey!
ReplyDeleteI have to laugh about the playdough. I work with toddlers and we hand make the play dough in only one color. How kind of you to volunteer at the food bank. There are always so many people in need. Merry Christmas.
