Have fun!
Well I'm a day late this week but here you are:
1. What's something you're looking forward to in the month
of June?
My wedding anniversary and my birthday.
2. In what way have you come full circle?
I’m back at home full time with an empty nest. The last time that was the case was just
before our daughter was born, 29 years ago.
3. Lonely Planet lists 10
spots in America you should see in 2015 and the reasons why. How many on
the list have you seen? Which one on the list would you most like to
see?
Queens NY, Western South Dakota, New Orleans, Colorado
River Region, North Conway NH, Indianapolis IN, Greenville SC, Oakland CA,
Duluth MN, and the Mount Shasta Region CA
Well I haven’t seen any of these and am unlikely to do
so, this year at least. But I would
probably pick New Orleans. My
daughter-in-law taught there for a couple of years and my son has visited.
4, A song that describes your mood right now?
I am useless at songs and I’d need one now that would take "I'm busy doing nothing" out of my head!
5. Strawberry ice
cream, strawberry short cake, strawberry pie, or strawberries right off the
vine...your favorite?
Do I really have to choose? If I must it would be strawberry short cake.
6. Aesop's
birthday is celebrated on June 4th, although there is some disagreement as to
whether or not that's accurate, or if he was even a real person. Regardless,
the name Aesop is associated to this day with many well known fables. Which of
the following best applies to something in your life right now? The
Tortoise and the Hare (Slow and Steady wins the race), The
Ant and the Grasshopper (Be prepared), The Fox
and the Goat (Look before you leap) or The
Crow and the Pitcher (Necessity is the mother of invention)
It would have to be the Tortoise and the Hare – I’m
working my way through all the clutter in my house slowly but surely. I’m definitely the Tortoise!
7. The answer is yes...what's the question?
Am I blessed?
Insert your own random thought here.
When I drafted this last night (and didn't get around to posting it) it was:
I love doing the Hodgepodge because it makes me think. The questions are a nice variety of ones
where I can rattle off an answer quite easily and others where I have to stop
and pause for a bit to compose an answer.
I also enjoy doing the rounds of checking out the other posters. Thanks
Joyce.
Right now it's How could I be so stupid as to lose last week's Hodgepodge entry! No answers necessary, I know exactly how I managed it :(
Two awesome celebrations. Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to you....
ReplyDeleteI have an anniversary this month too!
Love your question???
Yes I always look forward to Wednesday Hodgepodge.
Happy birthday AND anniversary! Isn't is awesome to be blessed??
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the Hodgepodge for the same reasons. I basically stopped blogging but try to participate in the Hodgepodge because it is fun and challenges me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and Anniversary Month :)
Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, the hodgepodge makes me think too. :-))
