One of the best things to happen during lockdown was the arrival of our Granddaughter, Ella.
With Mummy Becca (our daughter)
Such a smiley baby! |
Ella is our 6th grandchild but our first granddaughter. Arriving slightly early on the 17th November and tipping the scale just over 7lb.
She is a delight and, thanks to the Covid rules on support bubbles we have been able to see her and her family as normal since she was born. She really is smiley and in her own way chatty.
One of the things that has amazed me since becoming a grandparent is our capacity to love. We've gone from 3 grandchildren to 6 in the space of a year but they have all stolen a piece of my heart.
It's been hard not being able to see all of them, we haven't seen our eldest son and his family since the beginning of last October. But we get regular updates and photos and chats.
I can't imagine how much harder lockdown would have been without technology. Thankfully we do have the technology, and most of the time it works!
It is tough Wendy ... my husband and i are in Singapore with our kids and our families are in India . Have not been able to travel or meet anyone

DeleteYes, thank goodness for technology! Ella is beautiful and she will be spoiled by her brother and boy cousins as they get older. They will watch out for her, I'm sure! Beware any suitor who comes along! I enjoyed your "E" post, Wendy! xo
ReplyDeleteHa yes she'll probably be a bit of a princess lol
DeleteLovely family! Cute little girl, she is going to be the favorite among all the boys ;))
