Back to walking - 28/11/21

Firstly thank you for all the kind comments on my last post.

I'm feeling much better and today hubby and I managed to get out for a walk around the lake.  It was freezing cold but we have warm coats and added hats and gloves.  We left it a little bit later than we intended - the sun had disappeared although it had been lovely and sunny earlier but it was just nice to get out in the fresh air.

It's also wellie time again as the ground is quite muddy and, at the moment, covered with leaves.  We're so lucky to have the lake and woodland on our doorstep.

Other than that it's been quite a lazy weekend although we did babysit for our daughter and her wife last night.  Ella took a little bit of time to settle and woke during the evening but Nathan, probably because he was later to bed than usual, was asleep within 10 minutes of getting into bed and we didn't hear another peep out of him.  We weren't too late home either.

Now I'm catching up on Strictly Come Dancing.  Would more could you want?

  1. Good for you getting out in the cold and wet weather to walk. I would use it as an excuse to stay in! LOL I saw some photos of the horrible snow storm that was somewhere in England, with 100 mph winds. Wow! Have a blessed week ahead, Wendy!

    1. I don't mind as long as it's not actually raining or snowing. Yes it was a bad storm but we didn't get the worst of it.

  3. Good news that you are out walking again. I drove up to Leeds yesterday to see my 7 week old grandson. Just got here as it started snowing. We are under inches of snow so I won't be going walking as I don't all the waterproofs, Wellingtons etc!! Not sure about the drive home tomorrow either but it looks very picturesque.

  4. My goodness you really got it all ! But when I see the amount of family members I would be dead in the state I am now ! I don't know that despite the vaccins Rick has got the Covid and was very ill. Now his dementia increased a bit and he is so week that he can't get up. This situation makes me quite depressed. Fortunately I have met two widows here in the building and they try their best to cheer me up. With that we have new Covid restriction which will probably reach you too ! And all this before Christmas ! Not sure that we can even celebrate !

    1. They have brought a few extra restrictions in but hopefully our Christmas won't be affected.

  5. Hi,
I am so happy to hear you got outside for a nice walk, that outdoor time is just what we need! I know when I am down, getting outside usually helps me, especially if the sun is shining.

    Take care dear friend! Carla
