1. Something you've done recently that might be considered a labour of love?
Well I'm in the middle of a labour of love - making Maisie the Pig for our only granddaughter.
2. What's one thing you love about being the age you are now?
Not having the responsibilities of work and children. Being able to do what I want when I want within reason.
3. What do you value more: careful planning or the freedom to be spontaneous? Elaborate.
Anxiety and the way it presents means I'm definitely a careful planner. I would love to be spontaneous and of course now that we're both retired we can be, but I'm always making a plan before we put spontaneity to the test.
4. A home cooked meal or a fancy restaurant? pink or red? watch the sunrise or watch the sunset? wine and cheese or champagne and chocolate?
Oh difficult choices. I do like to go out to eat but a nice meal at home can be just as enjoyable. Pink unless we're talking alcohol then it would be red wine. The sunset for me - I'm not an early bird. I'll have the wine, cheese and then chocolate please. Not a big fan of champagne.
5. What's your definition of romance? Are you a 'romantic'?
Romance to me is being in love and showing your partner that you love them with thoughtful gestures and words. I don't think I'm overly romantic but I do enjoy a good RomCom or romantic book.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Currently watching the final series of Happy Valley which is far from a happy place or romantic lol.
Hello! New here...What a fun meme to do.
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying your week!

Thank you Donna
DeleteYou are like me in that we like organized spontaneity. Happy Valentine week.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeletePlanned spontaneity is how I like it too : ). Your little Maisie is adorable and I'm sure will be well loved.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joyce
DeleteThat stuffed pig is amazing! I can't tell -- is it crocheted or knitted or some of both?
ReplyDeleteAnd I completely agree with your definition of romance. Perfectly said.
The pig is knitted. Hopefully mine will look something like that picture!
DeleteI love Maisie the Pig. So adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathy
DeleteMaisie is so cute. I too am working on a sewing project.

Thanks Carla. What are you working on?
DeleteI must admit I enjoy not having to be responsible for kids or getting myself to work right now. The stuffed pig is very cute! Visiting from WH#10
ReplyDeleteThank you Kym
DeleteThe labor of love for your granddaughter is so darn cute! Totally agree with your second answer. Hope you have a good finish to the week and a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen
DeleteThis is a fun Hodgepodge! I'm not naturally an early bird. I always look forward to sleeping in when I can instead of getting up at 5:30 for work. Hugs!
ReplyDelete5.30 am is still night time in my book Terri lol
DeleteThat little pig is darling!!! Well done! Oh, I'm looking forward to not working someday...I am going down to only 3 days which is exciting for me. I was only working 4 days but my day off was babysitting grands, which I love, but I was realizing I needed a day just for me, so we talked about it and we decided I could ask for another day off. That will start in march.
