Review: Black Widow

Black Widow Black Widow by Christopher Brookmyre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Really enjoyed this book - a new author to me.

Diana Jager is a skilled surgeon and a fierce campaigner against sexism. When her anonymous blog is hacked and her identity as Scalpel Girl is revealed she finds herself taking up a new post in Inverness.
Where she meets Peter. Diana believes she has been given a second chance and within months they are married.

Then tragedy strikes. Peter's car careers off the road one night into a river. His body is never found but he is presumed dead. Peter's sister Lucy tasks reporter Jack Parlabane to investigate and find the truth behind the Black Widow as Diana is now being called.

As Jack delves into both Peter and Diana's pasts all is not as it seems.
