1. Are there any men or
women in blue on your family tree?
No although we have had one or two that worked in the
support services for them.
2. Are you someone who suffers from the Sunday night blues? What helps you get over it?
2. Are you someone who suffers from the Sunday night blues? What helps you get over it?
Not anymore as I’m no longer working.
3. I read the colour blue is an
appetite suppressant since there are very few naturally blue foods out there.
How do you feel about blue cheese? Love it or blech? If you're a fan, what's
something you like that's made with blue cheese?
I do not like blue cheese on its
own but I have enjoyed sauces that have been made with blue cheese.
4. We can't head in to the Labor Day weekend without a related question, can we? Complete this thought: I work best when_there’s a deadline to be met.
5. 'Everything yields to diligence.' Antiphanes Your thoughts? (on this particular quote or on diligence in general)

Well just to be sure I checked out the definition of
diligence: constant
and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of
body or mind.
and in that context everything
should yield to diligence. However,
although I consider myself to be quite diligent I don’t always get the job done
so I would have to disagree.
6. The National Park Service turned 100 years old on August 25th. Have you been to many of America's National Parks? If so share with us a favourite or two. Which National Park would you most like to visit before the next birthday rolls around?
Only been to the USA once and didn’t get to visit any National Parks although we did visit Central Park in New York.

seven words or less.
Thanks August for some great family
time!

Apologies for the lack of visits this last
week. The holiday home we were staying
in had poor wifi and everything was just taking tooooo long. Plus the pool was much more tempting in the
lovely hot weather we were enjoying!

I enjoyed your HP and am so happy you had such a good holiday with lots of pool time!
ReplyDeleteSlow WiFi is a pain. I am glad you found some relief from the heat in the pool.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the wifi being slow was a blessing in disguise. Now, you have more real memories made with those you love. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
We made our way from the West to East Coast last year, stopping at many of the National Parks along the way. I'm in awe of the amazing beauty our country has and glad we protect it through our National Park Service.
ReplyDeleteI have slow wifi in my home sometimes. Grrrrr. I would love to visit Central Park. Have a good weekend Wendy!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya about slow WIFI!
ReplyDeleteThe pool time sounds great!
Have a blessed weekend,
Carla
Of course the Park in NY is also a park, maybe not national but still, lol ! I only work when I am under pressure otherwise I always say "I will do it tomorrow" as for example cut two branches since last Monday. Lucky you to spend time in the swimming pool, I would forget Wifi too (except maybe in the evenings)
ReplyDeleteSince I recently visited New York for the first time and saw Central Park I was in aw of it. Truly the best park I've ever seen.
