Friday's Fave Five - 6/11/20

Thanks to our host Susanne for reminding us to be mindful each week and find five things to be thankful for. You can join in by clicking on the link below:

Living to the the Story

Here are my faves from this week:

1) A walk in the park with Grandsons Rory and Vinny and their Mummy. This was on Monday. The weather wasn't great, we had to dodge a shower at one point, but it was lovely to see them.

Rory is very good at standing on his buggy board.

2) I'm not a great fan of halloween but I did love getting pictures of my Grandsons dressed up for it:

3) A new dishwasher! Ours broke down and the outcome of getting it looked at was that it would be quite an expensive repair, it was quite old and therefore it would be better to get a new one. This was ordered, delivered and installed this week.

4) Walks around the lake. It's still very muddy but it was just good to get out in the fresh air especially as we are now totally locked down for the next month. I posted pictures here

5) Social media. Thanks to WhatsApp we get lots of pics of the new little ones, which we really need, especially of Miles as we can't get to see him. We got these two pics this week:

Miles

Vinny

Aren't they gorgeous? We also had a zoom chat with extended family recently on one of their birthdays which was fun.

Enjoy the weekend.

    1. Yes we can walk in the street and it's not actually as bad as the first lockdown in some ways. I've blogged about it today (Saturday)

  3. It's not worthwhile anymore to repair something it costs more at the end then a new one. All devices are made for 10 years that's the rule to buy new once. Whatsapp is a great invention and Internet too ! I just ordered the birthday gifts for Toby online, he had sent me the links, as a modern grandma I followed his wishes. It's on top very easy ! Love the photos of your Halloween little once, so cute !

    1. Yes it's a lot easier to buy presents when they have a wish list you can choose from.

  4. Rory looks like such a proud big brother:) The buggy board is a neat little gadget. We are on a 'safer at home' order, which is one step away from a stay-at-home order. We are being encouraged to do the latter voluntarily as much as possible through Thanksgiving. The babies are just beautiful and they look so much alike!

  5. What cute grandson pictures. Yay for a new dishwasher. I'm not a big fan of Halloween, either--we didn't do anything for it as my kids were growing up, except one friend would host a fall dress-up party on a different date. But my son and d-i-l have wanted to do pumpkins and take my grandson trick-or-treating, so we've joined in.

    1. LOVE the expression on Miles' face!! that's priceless!!

Love the halloween costumes.....we didn't celebrate with trick or treating when our daughters were little. In fact, they didn't "do" halloween until High school, because freshmen and seniors were allowed to dress up.

YAY for new appliances and walks around a lake.

Good luck with the quarantining. Thank GOD we don't have to have a complete lockdown here in New York State. I love going to work, etc.

  7. So cute all dressed up. I'm not a fan of Halloween either but the little kids sure do look cute. Yay for getting the dishwasher replaced so quickly. It's so good to get outside and get fresh air. Sorry you guys are on lockdown again. Our province is trying hard to avoid it but numbers are rising.
