The Best of Friends by Joanna Trollope
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love the way Trollope gets to the heart of characters and makes them so believeable. This could be described as just a story of a marriage breakdown. But the way it affects the two families living in an English village is captured very thoughtfully. It's not full of excitement or twists and turns but it is a really good read about the effects on the children, extended families and relationships.

Thanks for the review, Wendy! Having lived through a divorce and the hurt that affects all family members, I can relate. Losing his family hurt worse than losing him!
ReplyDeleteTrollope is an author I have yet to experience. I plan to though.
