Wednesday Hodgepodge 23/3/16

Wednesday's Hodgepodge is brought to us courtesy of Joyce at
Pop over there to see other posts and if you want to join in add the link to your Hodgepodge blog post to the Linky List at the end of Joyce's post and don’t forget to visit at least your neighbours on the list.
Have fun!

1. Has spring sprung in your little corner of the world? Other than the calendar how would I know? What's your favorite thing about spring?
Just about!  There are flowers blooming in the garden and we have had sunshine this week but it’s still rather cold!  I love it when all the spring flowers start appearing and the clocks change so the days are longer with more daylight.

2. Besides the weather, what's put a spring in your step recently?
Not much.  Hasn’t been the greatest start to the new year but hoping it will get better.

3. How does Easter impact you?
As a Christian it’s a very important time of year – with the added bonus of chocolate!

4. I saw this somewhere on Facebook and thought it would make a fun Hodgepodge question. Which of the following would you find most disappointing...

a just stuffed taco shell breaking open and spilling out before you take the first bite?
dropping a just-purchased Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts coffee?
opening the peanut butter jar and finding it empty?
upending onto the sidewalk a just-purchased ice cream cone?
a burnt bagel popping up in your toaster when you're rushing breakfast?
or cutting into an avocado and finding out it's rotten?
Not mad about tacos.  I don’t drink coffee or eat peanut butter.  I really do not like avocados and I never rush breakfast.  But if I lost my just-purchased ice cream cone give me a wide berth! lol

5. What's something held together with tape at your house? Or a paper clip? Or a wing and a prayer?
All the crap stuff hanging on my fridge by the overloaded fridge magnets.

6. Do you feel underappreciated? In what way?
Not any longer.  I sometimes did when I was working, one of the many reasons for leaving.

7. What's something you'd build if you knew how?
A house would be good.  Designed just the way I wanted it but that’s not going to happen.  I’m pretty good with flat pack furniture, as long as hubby’s around when strength or an extra pair of hands are needed.  I always read the instructions and check I’ve got everything before I start.  Don’t have any other burning ambitions to build anything.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
Of course under building we could add in building a better understanding between faiths to help bring about more peace in the world.  We have to hope.

  5. I liked your ice cream answer : ) We're building now, and I'm not sure there's such a thing as a perfect house. For me, this one has the perfect setting and that's the most important thing. We're trying to get it as close to what we want as we can, but I'm sure once we're in there will be something we'll say we should have done differently. I know it will be comfy, warm, and filled with lots of people I love and that will make it perfect. Happy Easter to you!

  7. I'm with you about the ice cream thing! I love it.
I hope things will improve for you, soon, and give you a little spring in your step.
Have a happy and blessed Easter.

  8. Your answer about building furniture and needing the hubby for strength brought back a memory I'd forgotten. Years ago I built a HUGE entertainment center from a box. I did the whole thing myself. The only problem was...when I was done it was lying flat on the floor. It took the hubby and a few more to stand it up and move it into place. LOL
