Pop over there to see other posts and if you want to join
in add the link to your Hodgepodge blog post to the Linky List at the end of
Joyce's post and don’t forget to visit at least your neighbours on the list.
1. What keeps you blogging?
Several reasons.
Partly it’s a way of journaling and challenging myself to keep my
writing skills alive but I also love the interaction with other bloggers.
2. Some people like to travel in the winter months. Do
you enjoy the beach in winter? According to Southern Living the
best U.S. beach towns to visit this winter are-
St Simons Island (Georgia), Hilton Head (South
Carolina), Bald Head Island (North Carolina), Seaside (Florida), Bay St. Louis
(Mississippi), Cape San Blas (Florida), South Padre Island (Texas), Folly Beach
(South Carolina), Chincoteague (Virginia), Duck Key (Florida), Nags Head (North
Carolina), and Fairhope (Alabama)
Have you been to any of the towns listed (in any season)?
Which on the list appeals to you most this winter?
I do like going to the beach in winter but somewhere it’s
cold but bright and usually quiet. We
don’t have severe enough weather in London to warrant travelling away in the
winter (although January can be quite miserable after the Christmas
festivities). I’ve no idea which of
those places would be good to visit in the US.
3. What's a song you're embarrassed to know all the lyrics to? Are you really
embarrassed or do just think you should be?
Well that would probably be Puppy Love by Donny
Osmond. Although I’m not really that
embarrassed to admit it was the first single I bought.
4. When you were a kid what's something you thought would
be fantastic as an adult, but now that you're an adult you realize it's not all
that fantastic?
Being able to do exactly as I wanted rather than doing as
I was told. That actually doesn’t really
change if you’re working or have responsibilities. (Unless you’re someone that
has so much money you really can do as you like.)
5. Share a quote you hope will inspire you in 2018.
Well I scoured the internet for an appropriate quote and nothing leapt out at me. I think I will just focus on an idea I stole from a fellow blogger and that is to complete 18 things in ’18. I’m currently fine tuning my list.
6. Insert your own random thought here.

Finally I’m beginning to feel more like myself. I’ve even managed to get out of the house
every day this week so far but I still don’t feel germ free so am still keeping
away from Nathan. Thank goodness for
things like Whatsapp and Instagram.
I'm sorry you've been sick, but happy to hear that you are feeling better. There's a lot of sickness going around this winter!
ReplyDelete"Puppy Love", now there's a blast from the past :) Loved it!

I love the idea of 18 in 18. I might come up wiht a list of my own, taking the to-dos from my 101 list on my sidebar. I need to check that list more often : ) Hope you're feeling 100% soon!
ReplyDeleteYour post inspired/motivated me to go look at my 101 in 1001 list which incidentally is no longer on my side bar, but is still in the form of a blog post on my blog. My 1001 expires in July so definitely need to get cracking!
DeleteGood luck with it
DeleteYay for 18 in 18!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of completing 18 things. I am going to do it too. Thank you, Wendy for sharing.

Greetings from New Hampshire. I am sorry that you have not been feeling well. I once had an opportunity to swim in the North Sea of the coast in Norfolk. It was the coldest water I have ever experienced in my life.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of completing 18 things in 2018. I hope that you continue to feel better. Have a great week.
