Today's prompt is No. (Today's A-Z post is here.)
No time for this, no time for that
Trips to and from, my son’s flat
He’s moving in with wife in tow
Saving for a deposit is going slow
Back at home it should be quicker
Now I’ll hear “What’s for dinner?”
“Where’s my shirt and I need to shave”
Since when did I become the slave?
I won’t be used I’m not the maid
But when they’re gone I am afraid
I’ll miss the hassle and the chat
But not no time for this and that.Have a great weekend all.
I should print that off to read again and again!

DeleteVery good and very true. When adults children move back home there needs to be new rules. Like do your own laundry, clean up after yourself, and pitch in with cooking...
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes I think we will need to establish some ground rules lol
DeleteSounds like you have things under control:)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy spending time with my adult children much more now that they're technically living on their own. I hope your son and his wife help you out with dinner and chores and that you can enjoy their company.
