Friday's Fave Five 26/10/18

It's Friday again so it's time to think back on five good things over the last week. (In my case 2 weeks as I missed last week.)

This challenge is hosted by Susanne over at Living to Tell the Story.  Pop over there to find out more and check out other participants.

Anyway here are my 5:

1)  Quality time with Noah and his parents.  They spent just over a week with us, arriving the Friday before last and going home last Sunday.  We try and see them as much as we can but usually it's only for a day or maybe two so to have all that time was lovely.  He's a very smily boy but he does love being snuggled up with Mummy or Daddy best - they have a great selection of baby carriers!

2)  A day out with all my babies, young and old.  We went pumpkin picking at a fruit farm and then on to a country pub for lunch.  The weather was beautiful for this time of year and it was a really fun day.  I had bought all the babies a pumpkin romper to wear for halloween but this was a great day to preview them.

 3)  A family day out with hubby's siblings.  One of his sisters turned 60 recently and we all went to a nearby Georgian mansion that is being restored - Copped Hall.  We had a guided tour of the house, a break for tea and homemade cake (yummy), and then a tour of the gardens.

We followed that with a lamb tagine back at Clare's house.

4) And then we had a Rory fix with a babysitting stint.  He was really good for me - we had a little play, then I got him ready for bed, gave him a bottle and got him to sleep.  He was still asleep when Mummy & Daddy got home.  I think they thought I'd slipped something into his milk!

5) An impromptu night out with hubby.  A new bar opened near us recently and this week they were holding tasting nights for a new wine selection.  We only heard about it because our DIL saw an Instagram post about it but we decided to go and it was a nice evening even though it was very quiet in the bar.

A busy couple of weeks but a lot of fun.

Have a great weekend all.

  1. The little ones look adorable in their Halloween outfits. Is that the Copped Hall in Epping Forest?

  4. What a wonderful outing with those beautiful babies! They are all so cute. I just spent some time reading about Copped Hall. Thank you for providing the link. I really enjoy learning about the history of places like that. I can't even imagine having to manage such a huge place.
